Rickey Henderson, Jim Rice, elected to Baseball Hall of Fame

Henderson is the greatest leadoff hitter in the history of baseball. Jim Rice was a very good player, his HOF credentials are iffy. He hit homeruns and drove in runs but had minuses too. I'd have voted for Tim Raines before Rice.

People who didn't get voted in-

Mark McGwire. As he hasn't even come close, I think his chances of making the Hall are slim. McGwire was a favorite player of mine, till he decided to use steroids.

Tommy John like Jim Kaat and Bert Blyleven won over 275 games but can't get elected to the HOF. There are plenty of pitchers with less wins immortalized.

Jack Morris has less wins than John and Kaat but was a staff ace, pitching in a tough pitcher's park(Old tiger stadium was a great park for homer hitters). His ERAs were never spectacular as a result and I think that has hurt him. He led the mound staffs of three teams that were world champs. Again he has as good or better credentials than some people in the Hall of Fame.

Clovis:

Jack Morris will get in before McGwire. They keep saying HOF voting is based on a "body of work", all tainted bodies will only have busts in cooperstown when they visit as tourists.
