Hardcore draft fans will notice my mock is a little different than most out there. I believe Seattle will recognize that Bayless is a SG in a PG body and decide to try and move the pick. If they can't make a deal the Sonics could draft anyone including stretching to snag Kevin Love. Love is from the northwest, but the Sonics are trying to move to OKC. Seattle would be smart to pick up a PG at the end of the first round. This draft should be full of trades so that should really shake up this draft. The Knicks are going to do whatever it takes to trade with Minnesota, because they covet OJ Mayo.

The Denver Nuggets are praying that Batum falls to twenty. Batum would develop into an excellent teammate for Carmelo Anthony at the two guard position. The Nuggets.....

i don't understand why ever... (Below threshold)

i don't understand why everybody has cleveland picking a big man project when their most glaring need is obviously at the 2-guard, and there happen to be two strong prospects that fall into their range in the draft, in cdr and rush, who will most likely be able to contribute right away. meanwhile, none of the big men are serious candidates to be starters in the nba, and even on the off chance that they do develop, it will be no less than three years down the line, also known as three years too late.

people need to give reasons for their projections instead of just pretending they know what's going on. if you think cleveland will pick a big man because they have a history of inanenly wasting picks on big men with no potential (potapenko, diop), then say so. if you think they're going to deal for a 2-guard, say so.

The Cavs are struggling to ... (Below threshold)
Brent Blaze:

The Cavs are struggling to provide a supporting cast for Lebron James. That includes a hole at the shooting guard spot. West isn't a true PG and overall the Cavs just plain have issues. I compare CDR to Julius Hodge and the Cavs should take a pass on him. Brandon Rush is a legit option for th Cavs. I actually did give a reason for my projections. Ben Wallace is an aging veteran and Ajinca has a high ceiling. Ajinca has successfully put on muscle and will continue to add to his frame. He is a natural shot blocker and has a pretty nice jumper. Hopefully before you've made your comments... you have scouted Hyeres-Toulon and watched the Nike Hoops Summitt.... the downside on rush is that hes 23 going into the season and will turn 24 his rookie year

the cavs are in need for so... (Below threshold)
cavs94:

the cavs are in need for some supporting cast and Z is way out of his prime but good enough for now. If they could get mario Chalmers or Ty Lawson they could move West to the 2 guard spot because he is not a natural point guard. Ajinca is good but it will take to long to develop him and his not the scoring aid that they desperatly need.
