37? I repeat, 37?
As a man, I actually feel for Barack Obama. Bowling a 37 is just, well, it's embarrassing. All the more so when you consider that most presidents, at least those in the 20th and 21st centuries, have played some type of sport as a form of relaxation and escape--usually golf--and demonstrated at least a little bit of athleticism.
But Obama? Eesh, this is sad.
The form really isn't all that bad, honestly. It's quite stylish. But it's the sheer wussiness of slinging the ball down the alley that gets me. Of course when you think about it, it pretty much fits his campaign: A lot of style, little substance. So maybe it's to be expected.
Here's hoping Barack is better at some sport. It'd be a tad embarrassing to have such an uncoordinated President.
And before you go and cite GW's fall off a mountain bike or Gerald Ford nailing spectators with a golf ball in the gallery, remember this: That ain't the same thing as bowling a 37.
(I know, I know. I broke my rule regarding mixing politics and sports, but come on, a 37?! Geeeeez....I bet my 2-week old son could bowl a 37.)
UPDATE A buddy of mine here at work says Obama's pretty good at hoops. OK, great! But still, a 37? Shouldn't some of that athleticism transfer over to alley? Maybe next time they'll break out the gutter guards! LOL

Since when does bowling require athleticism? It's a matter of technique and practice, and Obama has neither (obviously).
It took guts, knowing he'd fail miserably, to bowl in front of the press. Give him points for courage...

Since it's called a "sport" that requires a combination of body parts working in coordination with each other to propel the ball down the lane properly to achieve the desired result. It's not the classic vigorous activity like we might think of as in baseball, football etc., for sure, but bowling still requires athleticism.

Absolutely! I give him points for courage and humbleness. And hopefully he laughed at himself!
But 37?
I think even Mrs. Clinton could do better.
Which gives me an idea. In the unlikely event that the race comes down to a tie, Clinton and Obanma could have a bowl-off to determine the winner...
Put me down for $50 on Clinton.
