Memphis Smokes UCLA

Reporting live from San Antonio, I can tell you that was a beat down of historical proportions in the second half. Memphis went into the half with a three point lead but the second half separated the hype from the talent.

Memphis managed to totally shut down UCLA's phenom Darren Collison. Collison was 1-9 from the field and had five turnovers. That's a shut down in anybody's book. The supposedly dominant Kevin Love was held in check as well, finishing with 12 points on 4-12 from the field.

The production of just three players from Memphis would have overcome all that UCLA could offer as a team. Rose, Derrick-Roberts and Anderson contributed 65 points alone.

The Bruins are making a habit of getting to the final four and getting blown out of late.

After knocking off Texas by 18 and UCLA by 15, is there any doubt that the Tigers are for real?

Stay tuned, NC and KU is next.
