Tiger Woods five PGA Tour tournament winning streak is over

He finished the final round with a score of 68 or -15 for four day. With one hole to go, Geoff Ogilvy leads Vijay Singh, Retief Goosen, and Jim Furyk by one shot. Woods is two behind, but Goosen and Furyk are in the clubhouse.

Due to rain both Saturday and Sunday, this weekend's WGC- CA Championship had to be finished on Sunday. Three weeks till Tiger tees it up at The Masters. Will another streak start then?

all credit for Ogilvy for t... (Below threshold)

all credit for Ogilvy for taking this title. The run was bound to finish eventually. The difference between winning and losing in golf is miniscule (a missed putt, a bad bounce etc), and this is what all the players have to deal with.

Tiger is the exception in that if he is on his A game then even a bit of bad luck and he'll still be so far ahead of everyone else that he'll win teh tournament. I fully expect this to be the case in Augusta, a course which he has mastered so many times before.

Another major? I think yes. the start of another streak? Who knows.
