Sweet 16: The South is Settled

The South Regional played out pretty much as expected. We ended up with the Number one, two, three and five seeds in the Sweet 16.

How they got here however might be an indicator to future performances.

Michigan State cruised through the first round and beat Pitt by 11 in the second round. No problem for a five seed coasting into the Sweet 16.

Every other team however, had a much different experience.

Memphis barely survived a late push from Mississippi State. Stanford went to the final second against Marquette and Texas did everything possible to blow a game that they once had a 17 point lead in.

The South will be interesting because the teams are fairly well matched and all of them are talented and confident.

My fearless prediction in the South ................... Texas.

Do not place wagers based on my predictions. Remember, my bracket is on life support, so flip a coin or something.
