Tennessee Drops Wisconsin 21-17

Volunteer quarterback Erik Ainge picked apart the Badger defense to the tune of 365 yards and two touchdowns. Wisconsin countered with 194 yards rushing.

The strangest play of the game came in the fourth quarter when Wisconsin decided to go for it on fourth down in the redzone. It was fourth and one and Wisconsin was averaging 4.9 yards per carry. The Badgers decided to pass the ball and it went out of the endzone and thus turned the ball over on downs. This was their last trip into the redzone and a call that I am certain, many Badger fans will question for some time.

Wisconsin stayed in the game and almost won it with a pass to an open receiver in the endzone. The pass floated however and a back-up Safety intercepted it at the goal line. Gotta ask yourself; what the hell was a "back-up" Safety doing in the game in this situation anyway?

The SEC is still undefeated in Bowl games (though Arkansas is currently getting throttled).

I think Wisconsin coached t... (Below threshold)

I think Wisconsin coached themselves out of a possible victory with the 4th and 2 decision. They take 3 and cut the deficit to 1 (assuming the FG is made, of course), and they don't HAVE to get a TD at the end of the game. As good as their kicker is, I don't think he misses, but nobody will ever know now.
