Say Hello to Arena Football

I said before the Sugar Bowl that Hawaii would get destroyed and though I received a bunch of hate mail, I was right. Brennan was, as I predicted, simply outclassed by far superior athletes.

I also said after that game that Brennan would not go to the NFL in the first or probably second round of the draft.

Then I noticed that Brennan was playing in the Senior Bowl. Why was a Heisman finalist playing in the Senior Bowl?

I am now reconsidering that prediction based on yesterday's performance. And it's not saying I was wrong, it's saying that my analysis was probably too kind.

Colt went 2 of 6 for 29 yards and an interception!

Why was this young man even considered seriously for a Heisman Trophy?

Many had argued that his poor performance in the Sugar Bowl wasn't his fault. It was because Georgia had such a huge advantage in size and SEC speed, they cried. Well what happened yesterday?

Surrounded by comparably talented players and all with significant experience, he was awful. Colt Brennan seems incapable of performing against talented, fast and physical players.

Most of the players in the Senior Bowl will not land in the NFL and Brennan is probably among them.

But, hey since June Jones only knows how to play Arena League ball, there's always that option.
