Holliday, Teixeira Ink Deals

The Colorado Rockies and outfielder Matt Holliday agreed to a 2-year, $23 million deal today. The 2007 National League MVP runner up hit .340 with 36 homers and 137 RBI, and helped lead the Rockies to the first ever World Series appearance.

First baseman Mark Teixeira and the Atlanta Braves agreed to a 1-year, $12.5 million deal. Big Tex, traded to the Braves from the Texas Rangers at last season's trade deadline, hit 30 homers, 105 RBIs and hit .306 overall. He's eligible for free agency at the end of this season. With his agent being Scott Boras, expect it to a very big, big payday for Big Tex.
