Bedard to Mariners?

Details are still a little sketchy, but it appears that left-handed Baltimore Oriole pitching ace Eric Bedard is headed to the Seattle Mariners. Bedard was 13-5 with a 3.16 ERA and 221 strikeouts in 2007 before being sidelined with arm trouble. The Hot Stove heater talk about Bedard being dealt away from Baltimore have been going on for months now.

The deal, if it goes through, is said to involve one of baseball's blue-chip prospects in outfielder Adam Jones and likely others.

It's tough to give up such good young talent like Jones, but this deal would really solidify the M's rotation and give them 4 really good starters in Felix Hernandez, Eric Bedard, Jarrod Washburn and recent free-agent Carlos Silva.

If M's GM Bill Bavasi pulls this deal off, he gets out of my doghouse ever so slightly.
