Auburn "Burns" Clemson in Overtime 23-20

Auburn fired its offensive coordinator after the regular season and brought in Tony Franklin on December 12. No one is going to change their offensive system in two weeks, right? That would be insane, right?

Apparently Franklin didn't get the memo on that rule. Auburn's starting quarterback Brandon Cox doesn't have the athleticism to run a spread offense. No problem, enter freshman Kodi Burns who promptly threw for the only touchdown pass in the game and ran for another that sealed the victory in overtime.

The real story was the Auburn defense that except for one play (CJ Spiller's 83 yard TD run) held the high-flying Clemson offense to 210 total yards. Clemson averaged only 3.2 yards per pass play. This contributed to a woeful 5-19 on third down conversions.

The SEC remains undefeated in bowl games.
