Another Sign of the Apocalypse?

How in the hell did the NY Giants come in to Dallas and complete only 12 passes for 163 yards and rush for an anemic 90 total yards and win?

Which was the bigger disappointment to their fans; the Colts or the Cowboys?

Dallas had 8 more first downs, 64 more yards rushing, 42 more passing, and a higher conversion rate on third down...and lost? On top of that, the Cowboys controlled the ball 13 minutes longer. That's almost a whole quarter folks.

It wasn't turnovers. Romo threw a meaningless interception with seconds left, but what happened?

Before we start the analysis, understand that I have no animosity toward Tony Romo. Does anyone? Wouldn't that be like beating up Gumby?

I am not putting the whole blame on Romo but he did have a miserable game. Not just in the numbers but in a series of bad decisions. Maybe someone should explain that taking a sack outside the tackle box in the NFL is 100% unacceptable. Then turning around and getting a grounding call when no one was near him, because he wasn't outside the tackle box was unbelievable.

The thing that ultimately buried the Cowboys was discipline. Discipline on special teams and especially penalties. Giving up 11 penalties for 84 yards, at home, in the play offs is awful.

I doubt we'll see Wade Phillips back. This team has way too much talent (and Jerry Jones money) to keep choking like this in the play offs.

Next week the Giants get Favre and company IN LAMBEAU!

Barring another weekend of HUGE upsets, we could see a battle for the ages in the Super Bowl. Favre versus Brady. I'd watch that.
