Vinny Gone

44-year-old Vinny Testaverde will reportedly call it quits for real after tomorrow's Carolina Panthers season finale.

"I just feel like it's time," Vinny said to the Associated Press. "Obviously at 44 it does get a little bit tougher as the weeks go by. I'm glad I'm able to do it on my own terms and walk away from the game not only healthy, but to experience some of the things I've been through."

Vinny was brought in by Carolina this year after injuries to Jake Delhomme and David Carr. The 21-year vet played in 6 games, amassing 952 yards, 5 TDs and 6 INTs, pushing his career totals to 46233 yards (6th all-time), 275 TDs and 267 INTs. In Week 11 Testaverde started against 38-year-old Green Bay Packers QB Brett Favre, touching off an endless series of mostly lame old jokes.
