Titans Pull Themselves Together

The Tennessee Titans, to borrow a phrase from the world of finance, were trending downward. Today they managed a bit of a rally however, beating the Houston Texans 28-20 and keeping themselves in the mix for the AFC playoffs.

Tennessee's troubles have centered around QB Vince Young and his sophomore slump. He played better today, throwing for 248 yards and 2 TDs, and running for 44 more yards. His opposite number, Houston QB Matt Schaub, was knocked out of the game in the first quarter, and saw his his replacement Sage Rosenfels play adequately. Houston still had a chance in the fourth, when the score was 20-17 Titans, but saw that dwindle away when punt returner Jacoby Jones fumbled, setting up a Tennessee touchdown and two-point conversion that all-but-ended it.
