Pickin' Week 14

Down to the last 4 weeks. Things are getting intense. Here are my picks for the week:

Chicago at Washington. Losing to the Giants probably took the last bit of wind out of the Bears' sails. Course, the Skins suffered their own heartbreaker thanks to Grandpa Joe Gibbs. The Skins win, provided Joe doesn't have another senior moment.

Carolina at Jacksonville. The Jags will be red-assed after losing to Indy. They crush the Panthers.

Miami at Buffalo. I picked the Phins last week and what did they do? Got smoked. Fool me twice, shame on me. Buffalo romps.

San Diego at Tennessee. Incredibly hard pick. The Chargers are pretty bad on the road though, and Tomlinson especially so. Take the Titans.

Tampa Bay at Houston. Matt Shaub's banged up. Tampa seems to be rolling. Take Chucky and the gang.

Oakland at Green Bay. Favre says he'll play, though he's taken it easy in practice this week. Favre don't need no stinking practice. Packers roll.

Dallas at Detroit. The Kitties have to lay it all on the line here or fall out of playoff contention. Only problem - they no longer have Roy Williams. Cowboys win.

New York Giants at Philadelphia. The Feeley feeling is gone for Philly and McNabb is back. The Giants got their mojo back last week against the Bears. Giants win on the road.

St. Louis at Cincinnati. The Bengals have packed it in. The Rams, despite their horrific record, have not. Cincy scrapes out a win at home anyway.

Arizona at Seattle. Here's a chance for the Cardinals to have a defining game. Unfortunately, they won't get it. Seahawks at home.

Minnesota at San Francisco. Trap game? Not with Adrian Peterson running. Vikes win.

Kansas City at Denver. The rivalry is the only reason this game has any juice left. Honestly, how far do the Broncos have to sink before Mike Shanahan's job is in jeopardy? Denver wins at home; no one cares.

Pittsburgh at New England. Here it is kids - the end of the line for the Pats' streak. Yup, you heard it here first - Patriots lose at home against the fired-up Steelers.

Cleveland at New York Jets. The Browns' momentum got slowed a tad by Arizona. It picks back up again at the Jets.

Indianapolis at Baltimore. Think the Ravens will be in a bad mood? I don't think it will matter - Colts win anyway.

New Orleans at Atlanta. The Saints are fighting for their playoff lives. Another dog game for MNF. Falcons win at home, Saints say bye-bye to post-season hopes.

Well, you're probably right... (Below threshold)
Darby:

Well, you're probably right about the Pats losing, I predicted 15-1 on the season at the start, mostly because of how hard it is to go 16-0 in the regular season.

But that mean I want them to lose, either way it'll be a good game. Hopefully the Pats will continue to show their championship caliber and continue to find a way to win no matter what.

I won't be too terribly upset if they lose.

Err, that's supposed to rea... (Below threshold)

Err, that's supposed to read "But that DOESN'T mean I want them to lose..."
