Mawae Rips Mangenius

Former Jets center Kevin Mawae is talking crap about his old coach Eric Mangini, saying the Mangenius cut him from the team to avoid dealing with the inevitable friction that would've developed between them. Mawae said in a conference call Wednesday:

The last thing you want is a guy that knows all the rules in there and I definitely would've been one of the guys to call him out on it. It all boils down to accountability. You want a player to be accountable and the player wants the coaches to be accountable, and I think that may have been an issue there.

So Mangini was inexperienced and only wanted young players on the team that he could order around. Well, can you blame him Kevin? I mean, he is the second-coming of Bill Belichick. So why should he have to deal with guys questioning his authority?

People on the Patriots surely don't give His Hoodieness any grief. And if they do what happens to them? The old boot in the ass. Sounds like Mangini was only following his mentor's example. Unfortunately, at this point, it's all working out a lot better for Belichick, isn't it? But I'm sure in the future Mangini will live up to all the hype. And if he doesn't, he can always go back to lint-brushing Belichick's gear, or whatever the hell else he did when he was with New England.
