« Joe Gibbs Blows Game for Skins | Main | June Jones Comes Clean »

Late Boner Loses it for Saints

If there was a running theme in the NFL today it was teams shooting themselves in the foot late. First you had Jack Del Rio foregoing an on-side kick attempt that might've given his Jags a chance to come back against Indy. Then Joe Gibbs tried calling two straight time-outs against the Bills as they attempted a late field goal, giving the Bills a 15-yard shorter kick and helping them to victory. And then you had the Saints, who for some reason tried a double-reverse while holding the lead late in the fourth, a trick play that ended in a bad toss by Reggie Bush, a Tampa Bay fumble recovery and, a few plays later, a Buccaneer winning score.

Tomorrow will be an interesting day on talk-radio in Jacksonville, New Orleans and Washington, I can tell you that.
