Ricky's Comeback Short-Lived

Ricky Williams carried the ball all of six times during last night's sodden 3-0 Dolphins loss to the Steelers - and those will be the only six carries he gets this year. It was revealed today that Williams suffered a torn chest muscle while being stepped on by Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons, and will miss the remainder of the 2007 season.

Ricky's agent Leigh Steinberg expressed his disappointment over the injury, saying:

It's just sad. As hard as he's worked. He worked so hard physically to get back into shape and in therapy. He worked so hard for that moment and to have it end this way is sad.

Everything about the Dolphins is sad. Honestly, I don't see how this team wins a game. It was there for them last night, but they couldn't even squeeze out two measly field goals. At least Ricky will be spared having to actually be on the field when the team goes down in history as the only 0-16 squad ever. That's the silver-lining.
