Red-Hot Knicks?

The Knicks have won two straight after beating the Utah Jazz 113-109 last night in Madison Square Garden. Stephon Marbury poured in 28 for New York, following up a 19-point performance in leading the team over the Bulls on Saturday.

This two-game mini-streak is the first sign of life from the Knicks all year, and evidence that Marbury can still be a good player when motivated. I suppose Isiah Thomas will want to take credit for giving Marbury a boot in the ass by benching him, even though that move caused Marbury to ditch the team and thereby bring even more unwanted attention to the dysfunctional squad. But he still doesn't play defense, and you can't count on the guy to show up every night.
