Ohio State Wins Big Ten

The yearly giant hoopla that is Michigan v. Ohio State is over. The Buckeyes won what must've been a snoozer 14-3 (I'd know for sure it was a snoozer but I turned it off to play Halo), claiming the Big Ten title and a BCS bowl bid. Since Ohio State will not climb high enough to get another shot at the National Championship, they will end up playing in the Rose Bowl. Beanie Wells had 220 yards. Michigan's quarterbacks were again dreadful.

LGD:

What I think I despise most about the BCS bowl system is that it turns going to the Rose Bowl into a disappointment for a Big Ten team. It used to be an honor and a thrill. It meant bragging rights. It was a feather in the teams' helmets. The Athletic director might even crack a smile.

Now it's a letdown. Bloggers sneer at the teams who go there like they're losers. Teams 'end up' there.

The funniest phrase I've seen all week is from an Ohio State fan "Make Michigan our Bitch again".

That's funny.

Last time I checked, Oregon lost on Thursday, Missouri and Kansas will play each other next week, and the winner of that game likely gets Oklahoma, and Oklahoma lost tonight. West Virginia still plays UConn and Pitt, and LSU has Arkansas and the SEC Championship game.

If there is one thing that is certain about College Football this season, it's that nothing is certain.

And The Game was a "snoozer" because of the weather, not because of the talent on the field.

You might want to print a retraction considering Ohio State is in fact slated to visit NOLA for this years BCS Championship game...hmmm, interesting...Like the previous blogger said, nothing was certain in 2007's upset mania, so maybe you should have thought of that before posting such an ignorant statement!
