Louisville Misses a Star Recruit

I received my latest Sports Illustrated today and noticed something in the "Faces in the Crowd" feature that I found interesting.

It seems that a senior quarterback named Paul McIntosh at Reitz High School in Evansville, Indiana put up 451 yards in total offense in one game. He had 219 yards passing with a touchdown and 232 yards rushing with six touchdowns.

With these kind of numbers you may think I would promote him as the next Tim Tebow, right? I forgot to tell you the final score of that game; it was 61-60 with about 7 miles of total offense.

Since Louisville refuses to field a defense, landing a quarterback that understands that concept would be a coup.

Looks like the Cardinals missed this one. He has committed to Ball State which is actually a pretty good move as they have a high-flying passing attack as well. Ball State (also the Cardinals coincidentally) feature a quarterback named Nate Davis who has tallied almost 3500 yards and 27 touchdown passes.

I think young Mr. McIntosh will fit right in.
