LeBron Leaves With Injury, Cavs Get Crushed

What would the Cleveland Cavaliers be like without superstar LeBron James? We found out last night when LeBron sprained a finger in the second quarter against the Pistons and had to be removed, and the Cavs got torched 61-31 in the second half to lose 109-74.

LeBron was hurt with 4:41 left in the first half, when Pistons center Nazr Mohammed swiped at the ball as he was going up for a shot, striking his hand and causing him to grimace in pain. James initially remained in the game, but when the second half began, he came out in a turtleneck - never a good sign - and wearing a splint on his hand.

X-Rays on James's hand were negative. Cleveland coach Mike Brown said after the game:

I think he's day to day. We'll see how he is tomorrow before we worry about anything beyond that.

"Worry" being the big word there. Because without LeBron, the Cavs are toast. And not even the good kind of toast, but the gross blackened kind that you just have to throw out.
