Favre Injured But Will Not Miss a Game

Seems like Brett Favre gets himself banged up every game, but somehow always manages to avoid the kind of major injury that would end his long consecutive games streak. Such is the case again after Favre injured his elbow and shoulder in last night's loss to the Cowboys. Packer coach Mike McCarthy confirmed that Brett is on for the Pack's next game, a week from Sunday against Oakland. McCarthy said:

To quote the medical staff, the streak is not in danger.

You'll have to pry the starting QB job from Favre's cold, dead hand it looks like. That sucks for Aaron Rodgers who played great last night in helping the Pack at least make a game of it after falling way behind. I doubt there'll be much call from Packer fans to bench Favre though. To them it would be like benching Jesus.
