The Colts may have beaten the Chiefs today to get to 8-2 but I can't imagine they're that happy. Their offense was even worse than against the Patriots and Chargers. Peyton Manning had another sub-par game, throwing for 163 yards, 0 TDs and 1 pick. Meanwhile, Chiefs QB Brodie Croyle, making his first career start, had 169 yards, 1 TD and 0 picks. If the Chiefs had been able to mount any kind of running game they might've won this, but Priest Holmes is no Larry Johnson. Adam Vinatieri won the game for the Colts with a late field goal, but there are still rumors swirling that Vinatieri is hurt and the Colts are hiding it. Vinatieri, known by some as "Money," was only 2/4 today in field goal attempts.
The Colts train has not been entirely derailed yet, but it does seem to be at least veering off the tracks. The Marvin Harrison and Dallas Clark injuries are obviously affecting Peyton and the offense (Clark played today but only had 15 yards). Without that dangerous pass game opening the field up, Joseph Addai looks like an average running back at best. Indy is lucky their defense has become so solid otherwise they might be in trouble.
