Does anyone else think something funky is in the playoff water? The first round didn't produce any surprises (except maybe how close the Suns-Lakers series was), but the second round is a different story. Let's start with the Detroit Pistons and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Detroit finished the season with the best record in the NBA and seemed to be an unstoppable force, all the way to another World Championship. Something's in the water now. They had a relatively easy first round series versus the Bucks, and the second round should have been no problem for them as well. Yes, the Cavs are a good team with a great talent in LeBron James, but again, the series should have been easy. After four games it is, however, tied 2-2. Not only is the team not playing their normal style of ball, but their heads are blown up too big to even see it. Rasheed Wallace should know by now not to say anything stupid, because he is looking like a fool. Never make a guarantee on a win, it'll only make the other team want to beat you even more. The Pistons right now need to stop looking at the shiny trophy and start focusing on the current series, otherwise they will go home early and empty handed. Again, before this series started no doubt the favorite was Detroit, but now, the advancement to the Eastern Conference Finals is up for grabs.
