NHL Finals Predictions

Though the NHL post-season has produced many surprises, no one can really predict how it will all come to a close. With the Edmonton Oilers writing history as the first eighth seed to make it to the conference finals, what will come next? Up three games to none against the Anaheim Mighty Ducks will they become the first eighth seed to make it to the finals? Or will the Ducks be only the third team in history to come back from a three game deficit to make it to the big show?
In the Eastern Conference there haven't been as many surprises, but not many predicted for the fourth seed Buffalo Sabres and the second seed Carolina Hurricanes to be facing off for a chance to hoist the Cup. With the series tied 1-1, it is hard to tell who will win the conference, but it is highly proved that when the home team loses the series is over. Now the teams are going back to Buffalo for game three and it is possible that this could be over in five games as Buffalo can clinch in Carolina, but only if they skate like they did in the first game, as the second game was completely dominated by the Hurricanes.
Only time will tell, but the best bet is the historic Edmonton Oilers versus the Buffalo Sabres in the Finals with Chris Drury and Daniel Briere hoisting the Stanley Cup together as co-MVPs.
