The Race for the playoffs spot in the West is as exciting as the Janet Jackson Halftime show. I for one is a big big big fan of the Sacramento Kings over the Years. They move the ball pretty well, more on offence less on defence. But over the past seasons, Kings fan's Like me, Just keep seeing my beloved team choke on the playoffs. Blame it on offficiating, poor free throws( Remember GAME 7 VS LAKERS IN '02) But Defence seems to be the bitter pill that has been hitting the KINGS. I remember 2 best Kings off-ball defenders, Doug Christie And Bobby Jackson. After that shake-up in 2004, we knew the kings couldnt get right back in what they had accomplished in 2001-02 season. But still, the Kings showed prowess in Winning 50 games. That 50 Straight Winning season. Then disaster struck early this season. The Core of Mike Bibby-Brad Miller-Peja didnt work out as planned. Injuries, Loses mounted on the Kings side. Much to surprise that Coach Adelman found himself in Hot Seat of being voted out early in the Season. Then rumors started, Peja for Artest? Why not, the Artist formerly known as RON is a heck of a defensive player. Even won a defensive of the year trophy a few years back. Inspite of his talent, alot of critics was somewhat skeptical of how would Artest blend in with the Kings. Especially that Artest hates lossing. The Kings took the gamble, and The Pacers needed to get rid of Artest. Then waalaah, The KINGS defence has somewhat improved. They shot the ball well, and they sink in that defence. Heck they are unstoppable! They are currently outside watching in, at 27-30 mark. But who knows, maybe the Lakers would fumble out. I honestly think that this season may just be a season for the Kings to flex its muscle. Reminding every team that they can play defence and win ballgames. I am certainly looking forward for next season. That is, if injury bugs keep away! For now, Kings are pretty good playing together as a TEAM. By the way, the 10th straight win at ARCO, put fears back at teams on the road.
