Don't Take EA's Money

I'm guessing LaDainian Tomlinson will get next year's Madden game cover. If I were him I'd politely decine EA's offer and run like hell out of the building. Because the Madden Curse has struck again:

If McNabb does decide to go under the knife, it will likely end his season, which, all things considered, is already over. Has the Madden curse struck again?

The alleged curse has affected Madden cover athletes dating back to '00 when then Titan's running back, Eddie George, coming off of a Super Bowl appearance, proceeded to have his worst career season, averaging only 3 yards per carry. In 2001, Daunte Culpepper's season was cut short due to a knee injury. The following year, Marshall Faulk missed six games, and his Rams were quickly eliminated in the playoffs. Two years ago, Michael Vick kissed his season goodbye before it even began, breaking his leg in a pre-season scrimmage.

He should take the money an... (Below threshold)

He should take the money and prove that the curse is just a coincidence. Because it is.

  • Eddie George's yards per carry always sucked.
  • Daunte Culpepper is injury-prone because he's a fat ass and gets sacked all the time. What kind of QB weighs 260 plus? Tice should move that lard ass to the offensive line.
  • Marshall Faulk was just stepping out of his prime.
  • Michael Vick ran around so much early in his career that he was bound to break his leg.
  • McNabb just sucks without T.O. It's his own damn fault he was injured for throwing that interception and getting flat-backed while trying to make a tackle. The only curse he's a victim of is not having T.O. That's what McNabb gets for sucking and throwing interceptions.
