Hockey at Lambeau?

The Packers have inquired and one reporter thinks it's a great idea:

It would not be sacrilegious to have hockey played on football’s most hallowed ground.

This would be a perfect way to showcase Lambeau to people who may never get a chance to take in a Packers game, and give the successful Badgers program a dose of attention it could use.

Wisconsin hockey is very popular in Madison. Attendance numbers are always among the best in college.

But outside Madison it doesn’t get much attention.

Michigan and Michigan State have tried this already, at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, and attracted more than 70,000 for the game.

The only way a Wisconsin game could approach that figure is to bring in the hated Gophers.
