vs Texans: Week 9

Houston Texans QB David Carr opened the game by picking Denver’s defense apart, going 6 of 8 through the air, then watching as his kicker blew the FG attempt.

Denver answered with a couple of weak runs by RB Reuben Droughns and saw QB Jake Plummer misfiring on his opening passes.

Early on it seemed that Houston moved the ball just about at will and I prepared myself for another huge defensive letdown from the Broncos.

But once the Texans blew their attempted conversion of a 4th and 1 they seemed to run out of gas offensively. Their first score came with the benefit of a blocked punt that was returned to the Denver 1 yd line by the special teams unit. Then RB Domanick Davis had an easy run into the end zone. And that was about where the fun ended for Houston.
