vs Saints

A few weeks ago Denver went into Cincinnati when the Bengals had the #31 overall defense.

This week, Week 11, they went into New Orleans with the Saints D ranked 32nd (last).

Denver fans had plenty of reason to worry going into this one.

Thankfully, Denver did just enough early to keep the game not quite within reach for the Saints for most of 60 minutes.

The score does not reflect Denver’s weak play for the final 45 minutes. I may have to start calling our head coach Mike Pansyhan.

– Champ Bailey is more incredible by the week. Yes, he gave up a couple longish passes. But he also had an incredible interception and lead the team in tackles with 11 plus 2 assists.

How much did he lead by? The next closest defender was LB Donnie Spragan with 5 total tackles and no assists.

Baily has performed at least as well against the running game as the passing game all season long. His critics often claim that he’s no Neon Deion. As a pure cover guy they may have a valid point. But as a football player?

How many times did Sanders lead his team in tackles? Week after week Bailey is in Denver’s top three. Can Sanders claim that?
