Ichiro Breaks Record

One of baseball's oldest records fell when Ichiro Suzuki hit a ground ball up the middle against the Texas Rangers. That hit was #258 giving him the single-season hits record. Later, Ichiro got another hit giving him 259 with two games remaining. The previous record-holder, George Sisler got 257 hits in 154 games in 1920.

At the game was Sisler's daughter. Frances Sisler Drochelman wasn't even born when her father had the record.
