I agree with Sandy Alderson...no one is going to think about giving up a Matt Cain for a month and the postseason of Uggie Urbina. The July 31 deadline is fine. Maybe the waiver wire needs to be done away with to create consistency across the board. I like the way it is...you're not getting a blockbuster through the wire, but you can get some useable parts.
