In-freaking-sane

The Cubs just got Nomar Garciaparra without having to deal Matt Clement. Are you kidding me? This is a banner day in Cubs history, unless, of course, Francis Beltran goes on to be Cy Young.

My first thoughts:

1. I don't plan to listen to any more Cubs games on the radio, because if Ron Santo has to call a ground ball that gets flipped from Garciaparra to Grudzielanek, his tounge may explode.

2. The guy that sews numbers on the jerseys better ask for a raise. He's also probably hoping Todd Hollandsworth is out for the season.

3. My first order of business is to head straight downstairs and execute the trade on my MVP 2004 PS2 game.

4. Nomar? And we still have Clement? Are you kidding me? Now who's your wild card favorite?

I just may get to see the C... (Below threshold)

I just may get to see the CUBs in a series before leaving this mortal coil!!! The Tribune Co. opening their purse strings and allowing the team to get what they need to win.....this is not the CUBS of the 60's when I was a kid.

Lets hope Maddux gets that 300 game win tomorrow. GO CUBS GO!
