Just for fun, lets think about where the Big Daddy could go if the Lakers really did want to dump him in favor of resigning Kobe. Who has the cash (and matching salaries) to make this happen? Here are a few thoughts off the cuff:
Dallas - They've needed an answer to Shaq for years, why not get the real deal? Package Antoine Walker with Michael Finley, and the deal could be done.
New York - Isaiah would love to package anyone not named Marbury to get the Big Daddy, but does a package of Allen Houston and Tim Thomas excite you? Only reason the Lakers consider this is so they have an option of sending him out of the conference.
Orlando - McGrady is forcing a trade, throw in Grant Hill's salary and you've got a deal. If Hill retires, his salary comes off the books at Christmas. On the other hand, if Kobe didn't want to share with Shaq...
I'm sure there are more possibilities and all of this is fun, but the chances of any of it actually working out is somewhere between slim and none. Then again, stranger things have happened.

Shaq will not be a Laker, that we can almost count on. I think NY is in the running, Dallas, and maybe even Denver has an outside shot. LA knows that few teams will have little to give in return in terms of players. Your Finley-Walker option is the best I can think of. So there may be some creative work done with draft picks and contract restructuring to make it work.
My "what goes around comes around" trade would be Shaq to Philly for AI and make AI and Kobe start an on the court / off the court battle for touches, shots and limelight. No matter how much Iverson and Bryant deserve it, I would never wish that trade on The Big Diesel.

personally i think they should tradd with NJ. NJ should resign K-mart. The Lakers should take K-mart and jefferson since we have no power forward most likely cause of karl and his injury. You play K-mart then when he gets tired you play jefferson. K-mart doesnt need the ball like a T mac or a ray allen. This would be a way better trade than what Miami has to offer. This also would work out good because even if the nets move to brooklin it would be close to NJ Shaq's home town. by the way this came from a 13 year old.
