Perfection

Randy Johnson threw the first perfect game in the majors since 1999. At the age of 40, he becomes the oldest pitcher ever to toss one.

UPDATE: It's obvious Johnson pitched a great game, but here's how great: he threw 117 pitches, 87 of them were strikes. He struck out a little less than 50% of the batters he faced. Atlanta Braves pitcher Mike Hampton pitched well too. He allowed only two runs and actually threw fewer pitches than Johnson.

UPDATE II: Here's ESPN's story along with some eye-popping numbers.
