The purple and gold will have to close the refrigerator door on the Spurs tonight.
The game has a weird starting time of 7:30 pst for a Saturday game at the Staples center. This gives me a chance to enjoy the hot weather in LA during the afternoon. No doubt the game will be filled to the brim with the Laker faithful, celebrities, and those famous bandwagon people just along for the ride.
This is it. The final stage and the Lakers will have to produce from start to finish in order to see the Spurs ride off in the sunset until next season. Needless to say I think I'm not alone when I say I will be glad to see them go.
If the Lakers achieve this feat they would be awaiting the the winner of the Kings/TWolves matchup. If they advance they will be well prepared having played two of the better teams defensively and two of the teams that run that good old fashioned pick and roll.
Oh by the way Brad Miller of the Kings was complaining about the non physical play of the Timberwolves. He said they just clutch and grab. Welcome to Shaq's world. Don't worry Brad Miller if you advance and the Lakers should win tonight you will have many nights to play physical on Shaquille O'Neal.
