I am amazed sometimes at the performance of "marquis players". It used to be that you knew a marquis player not just by the athleticism, number of tattoos or size of the biceps, but by the innate instincts, decision making, clutch performances and mere court presence that made the team better (Shaq is an example of possessing all of the above and maybe all of the tattoos just so he can lead in that department as well). Athletic ability alone makes you a great individual player which is terrific if you are playing a game of 21. But not for winning championships...[more here]
