Yeah, Baby! Nevada 91, Gonzaga 72 (Wizbang Sports)

This game was beyond awesome! I am not technically a Wolfpack fan, being a transplant here in Reno from AZ Wildcat country (via California), but I have been supporting them in the tourney.

The Wolfpack came out strong, quickly taking a big lead and making Gonzaga get themselves in foul trouble. The Bulldogs were down as much as 20 in the first half, due to cold shooting and mental mistakes.

Nevada started slow in the second half, allowing Gonzaga to cut it to 8. But the Wolfpack soon found their rythym again and essentially put the Bulldogs away with five minutes left.

I have to say...I've followed Gonzaga for a number of years and I have never seen them play such a sloppy, poorly executed game. Their heads were not in it at all.
