Gonchar to be traded to Boston

Per Canadian sports site tsn.ca Sergei Gonchar has been traded to the Boston Bruins. Per tsn.ca All that is required to make the transaction official is the trade conference call that registers the trade with the league.

As of this time, there is no word on neither the Capitals website nor the Bruins site.

UPDATES: The press releases are being released. Washington's first release is short, sweet, and to the point: The Washington Capitals today acquired defenseman Shaone Morrisonn and Boston's first-round and second-round choices in the 2004 Entry Draft from the Bruins in exchange for defenseman Sergei Gonchar, vice president and general manager George McPhee announced. Details to follow.
