I love brock lesnar as an athelete, and I strongly believe Lesnar will be a strong asset to any NFL team. I hope he joins the Miami Dolphins, because they realy need someone of his mass capabilities to increase their defense. If Lesnar joins the dolphins I would buy the jersey immediately. P.S I think WWE screwed Brock at wrestlemania. WWE always tries to make a leaving superstar look bad at their final match. Good luck Brock.

Brock Lesnar is a crybaby...good riddance. Get out of my Smackdown. What's he going to do in the NFL when he doesn't have Paul Heyman or a title belt to hide behind. I feel bad for whatever team ends up with Brock. It's gonna be like Sapp and Keyshaun all over again: nothin' but mouth. Here comes the pain alright...the pain in my ass. In an already questionable league, Lesnar simply weakens the integrity of the game. We tried the XFL already, remember?

Hey, Sean Del Rey, when do you plan on waking up and realize that wrestling is fake. Almost everything about it is fake; from the wrestler's steroid enhanced bodies to the women's tits to the title belt that Lesnar "hid behind". As far as Keyshawn and Sapp go, they represent only a few players in the NFL. 99% of the players play the game with the integrity it should be played, but like all ignorant people you tend to believe only the things you see on T.V. and the news. I would love for you to inform me on the questionable nature of the N.F.L. If you are talking about Janet Jackson, you are even more ignorant than I thought. That was an MTV production (go figure) and a poor publicity stunt which the NFL and CBS had no control over. The NFL quickly apologized and tackled the issue right away. Unlike WWE who would just shrug it off because they think it is alright to let their pre-teen audience see girls getting their clothes ripped off and guys cursing, giving people the finger, and drinking and spitting beer. Maybe you should question yourself and the WWE before you question something you know nothing about!!!

I have watched wrestling all my life and without doubt would say Lenar was one of the greatest champions in wwe history. (who else can suplex the Big Show from the top turn buckle). I feel Brock was screwed at wrestlemania 20 and it will not be the same without him.
Good luck Brock in whatever you do whether it be the NFL or anything else but it would be great to see you come back to the wwe in the future and to give an F5 to all those people that doubted you.(espeacially Goldberg and Austin).

Wow all the you Brock Lesnar haters have just about zero credibility to your arguements. You call him a pussy, wimp, wuss. These points that you bring up all refer to his heel character in the wwe where the writers purposely make him that cowardly and obnoxious. That's how they get people to hate him. In reality, the wwe recognized Lesnar as one of the most dominant atheletes in history. Just look at accomplishments they bestowed upon him, 3 heavy weight title reigns, a king of the ring winner, and rivalries/victories over top notch superstars such as The Rock, Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, Goldberg. Hell, he even won the title 6 months after his debut marking him as the youngest champion in history! So what if it was evident to Lesnar that there's nothing left for him to do in the wwe and decided to test his dominating athleticism in true unscripted physical competition such as the NFL. So if your one of those 50000 fans who chanted "you sold out" at Wrestlemania XX then you are a dumbass. That statement couldn't be more unaccurate because (as reitterated in one of the above posts) Lesnar starting salary in the NFL is going to be just a fraction of what he was earning as a top tier wwe superstar. So Brock, you're the shit and i'm sure your going to make your wwe fans proud when you start up a new dynasty of pain by tearing into each and everyone of those NFL players on the field.

To all you gibronies who think Brock made Smackdown!, you're idiots. The Rock MADE Smackdown! Secondly, to the idiot who said that he was mad about the WWE taking the belt from Brock, they did it because he was getting ready to leave.
To any of those with doubts that Brock will be successful, you're morons. Even with no college football experience, Lesnar will no doubt dominate the line in the NFL. When he comes back to the WWE, he'll be more hated, and therefore, successful than almost anyone else on the show.

BOOHOO, Lesnar has left a fake profession, for a real SPORT. Wow, WWE wrestling isnt a sport, amazing. Being in the NFL gives you more credability then being in the WWE anyhow. Don't get me wrong, I watch WWE from time to time if I have the chance, and seeing what it has become from the more classical days, Lesnar made the right decision. He would be a badass Defensive End, or maybe a linebacker. He will succeed in the NFL. I hope he makes a career out of the NFL, and never returns to the WWE, he doesnt need to. And yes Sean Del Ray, wrestling is fake. If wrestling wasnt fake, dont you think that the Big Show at like 500 pounds would beat everyone?? Makes sense.

Brock Lesnar is probably not going to succeed the way he might desire. There are many issues that he must face, many that are out of his hands, for instance; the team he will play for etc. The lack of "substances" that are quietly allowed within the WWE will effect Brocks performance to some extent. We may not see the same Brock we know from the WWE.

For instance,if John Cena suplexes Eddie Guerrero of the top turnbuckle, there isn't too much give landing in the ring, oh and any one could beat the Big Show all you have to do is run around and wear him out, so what i'm saying is some things in pro-wrestling are fake and somethings aren't. And one more thing we don't use fake blood, its all real blood, sometimes we do really bleed from chair shots or punches but sometimes we just get a small razor blade and knick ourselves and make us bleed.

Brock not only stabed Vince in the back he spit in every single wrestler in the WWE'S locker room. While people like Chris Benoit who spent 18 years to be the world champ and there is Lesner who wins the"BIg One in his first year. He spit in the wrestlers face that worked matches with him and probley did all the work like the ROCK HINT HINT. IF it wasn't for the rock jobbing to him at summerslam brock would be nothing but a mid carder like The Big Show. So brock sold out in a big way. The Next Big Way.

First of all let me say that I've enjoyed the in-ring career of Brock Lesnar. He worked his way up to being one of WWE's most marketable talents. He's been a part of some truly memorable performances over the last couple of years. At the time of his WWE departure, he was being featured prominantly in television commercials and was the focal point for the latest WWE Playstation 2 game (Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain). He was at the top, no doubt. His Wrestlemania XX match against Bill Goldberg was one of the most highly anticipated dream matchups in recent memory. Only a couple of weeks before the event, Vince McMahon was feeling good about his business, even with the impending departure of Bill Goldberg after Wrestlemania. Goldberg would lose at WM XX and add fuel to the Lesnar juggernaut, and Lesnar was young and strong and under contract for a good long time to come. But you see, Vince's decision to invest in the Brock Lesnar phenomena and have him lead the company into the future turned out to be a bad one. Lesnar didn't give Vince the courtesy of some kind of advance notice that he was going to be walking. Whereas the breakdown in negotiations with Goldberg had alerted WWE officials long ago that he'd be moving on, there was no warning of Lesnar's imminent departure. I'm by no means Goldberg's biggest fan, but at least he was professional in the way he left. Two weeks notice, while sufficient for quitting a job like Wal-Mart, isn't good enough for a business that has to plan storylines and advertising months in advance. With Goldberg, they could use his departure to help further build another talent up by having him "job". That's how the business works. But with Lesnar (who oddly enough was to be the beneficiary of Goldberg's last match "job") there was no way to use his last match to help catapult someone who was sticking around. Instead what should have been the most entertaining match of the biggest PPV of the year turned out to be nothing but crap. For two guys who supposedly couldn't wait to tear each other apart, they did a lot of standing there and staring each other down. Lesnar's decision obviously affected the quality of the match and the PPV as a whole. By turning his back on Vince and WWE now, he's in essense spitting on the guys who've done their jobs and helped to build him up to where he is today. The Undertaker who lost to him in the Hell in the Cell, The Rock who gave him his first WWE title win, even Hulk Hogan who never looked bloodier or more defeated than when he lost to Lesnar. WWE rewarded him for his hard work in unprecedented fashion. Nobody as young as him has ever made it so far so fast in professional wrestling. It's good to have a dream. But he's been living a dream already. It's the dream that guys like Shawn Michaels and Triple H have carried inside them from their youth. But if Brock Lesnar had dreams of being in the NFL, then he should have pursued those dreams and left the WWE well enough alone. Two wrongs don't make a right, and make no mistake he is wrong this time too. He simply cannot legitamately make an NFL team on his level of talent. He'll only get a roster spot if a team wants some media attention and to sell some more tickets. That's the truth. He's only going to end up burning his bridges with WWE, Vince McMahon, and his fellow performers. A person has more responsibilities than just to themselves and their "dreams". He signed a contract and was being depended upon by WWE to insure a prosperous future for all of their talent. By doing what he's done, he comes off as an ungrateful prima donna. I realize that he may not see it this way, but that doesn't make it right. And what happens if he fails in his quest? Hey, if he were on his own with no other concerns, I'd have an easier time with it all. But it's my understanding that he has a child. At what point do you walk away from a nice rich contract and risk not only your own financial well being, but the future well being of your child? I just don't get it. Brock, we all sometimes make bad judgement calls in our youth. I'm no exception. But the regret game works both ways. You may have regretted not doing it later, but you may also come to regret doing it in the future. I apologize for upsetting any Brock Lesnar fans with my comments (as well as for the length of this posting) but I feel they needed to be made. And Brock...like Mr. Benoit used to say...."Prove me wrong!"

Regarding Brock Lesnar's departure from Pro "Wrestling" and consequent application to tryouts for the NFL... I have been a HUGE fan of the Sports Entertainment genre for many, MANY years. While I have seen literally hundreds of talented athletes make the transition from more conventional athletic endeavors to the WWF/WCW/ECW/WWE (Neidhart, Bradshaw, Savage, Pillman, Angle, Rock, etc etc etc) I have yet to see ANYONE go in the other direction. To all of you clammoring over the possibility of Lesnar playing defense anywhere immediately.... keep dreaming. As a former middle linebacker I can tell you it takes literally years of training, studying and actually playing to learn ONE style of defense well enough to be good enough to start on a deficient college team. Lesnar has done none of these things. The best he can hope for is Special Teams duty for a couple of years then POSSIBALLY a back-up linemen or linebacker position. He is a very talented and gifted athlete, however, he doesn't have the knowledge to compete with men that have lived, breathed, and ate football their entire lives. I do wish Brock all the best in whatever he does, but let's be realistic... the only way he will make any NFL team is if the personel directors and coaches are a bunch of star-struck fanboys. Unfortunately, Lesnar in the NFL is most likely a publicity stunt by the McMahon family in conjunction with the NFL or a contract dispute between Lesnar and the WWE. Simply put.... Lesnar WILL be back to those that want him. When? I'm not sure.... but it won't be soon enough for THIS fan.

Brock going to the NFL could go either way. Yes he hasn't played football since highschool but he is a great athlete. As far as people on this site saying Wrestling is fake and that its not a real sport. I can only say, I dare you to go out and try it. You would be schooled and would get laughed out of the business. Yes it may be scripted, but you have to be one of the best athletes in the world to be able to do what some of those guys do. Most people in the NFL, NBA,NHL ect... would not even last a week in the WWF(I still call it that...out of spite for the Wild Life Foundation). If I did have to make a prediction on Brocks PErformance in NFL if he actually gets signed I would have to say he would be a slightly better than average palyer at first with a lot of potential if he works hard at it. Being a football player and knowing the game, I know that if you have the motivation and like pain and work hard, you can play the game. So if anyone can do it Brock is the one do it.

I am a huge Lesnar fan. We don't get smackdown where I live, but I loved watching him wrestle on PPV. His leaving is a huge loss to the WWE, and I hate that. I wish he wouldn't have left, but he is following his heart. I'm not a big NFL fan, but if Brock makes it to a team, that will be my team. I will start watching regularly if/when he makes it. It'll be interesting to see to say the least.

First of all,you all better realize everything is scripted and planned in WWE...so all this posturing on what Brock did and didn't do is mute....Brock is a huge individual w/great talent.I hope he does well IF he can hack the NFL.There will be no F-5's in NFL you dummies, but he sure as hell will be aggressive.I still haven't heard why he personally decided to go to the NFL,it will certainly be more work and discipline than the WWE.He has a new baby,he probably was tired of the traveling.
Good Luck Brock,we will miss you.But don't fret, the WWE was going down the shitters WAY before you showed up.They'll survive, they have for the last 4 years.Maybe Steph and Shane will make a comeback...lol..Doubt it w/Shane's new baby, but Vince better think of something w/Rock/SCSA/Brock and now supposedly Goldberg gone.
Good luck and God Bless Brock!!

I am a huge fan of wrestling and the nfl. To Brock Lessnar I wish him all the luck in the future and at trying to accomplish another one of his dreams. By the way it a proven fact that Vince McMahon doesn't treat his employees the way they should be. Example Hulk Hogan, Brett Hart and Bill Goldberg and the list continues of the way he has screwed so many guys. Ive been liking wrestling ever since i was a child. Personally right now I belive everything has to come to an end and it looks like the wwe i headed in that direction. to Yeah i love Stone Cold Steve Austin, but this guy is an awful athlethe but, and could never make an nfl roster. But his ring presence is what makes him a good entertainer. And to you idiots talking trash about Lessnar get a life wrestlings fake as hell.

Hey, Brock is one talented wrestler who exhibited his wrestling prowless in the ring. He has always been the aggressive and fearless man deep within him. He could take on anyone, anytime. He is probably stronger than Bill Goldberg. Wrestlemania was a fluke. They made him look bad; he could have smashed the hell out of Goldberg. He is unbelievably strong and fast as well, and I say, all the best the NFL, pal! You'll prove your worth anywhere, and I mean ANYWHERE! True talent outstands everything. Whatever choice you make, I'll be rooting for you!

You take the WWE for what it is sports entertainment. He played the villain role very well for Smackdown and the PPV events. I don't know why the New York crowd at Wrestlemania booed the match with him and Goldberg. Still you have to admire his physical body and wrestling skills in the ring for all its entertainment; not to mention his speaking ability as a villain. I read some where else he maid about 10 million dollars in his short career in the WWE.
So a challenge to persue a NFL career while he is still young is right for now. I don't know why he was complaining about the hectic travel schedule as a young man although I found now that he has a young daughter. I kind of wonder if the boo birds in arena at the shows got too him with the WWE management scripted him as the main villain for the fans to boo and jeer at. That's the fun at the WWE events. Now Smackdown had really gone down in the ratings.

Brock Lesnar was earning about $9 million a year as a professional wrestler. He owns an eight-seat, twin-engine plane, has a personal pilot and, at 26, lives in a spacious home on 47 acres in Independence, Minn
He said he was tired of traveling and performing 280 nights a year. He missed his 2-year-old daughter, Mya, and craved the kind of unrehearsed competition he experienced in amateur wrestling.
"I wanted to play football out of college, but I followed the dollar signs instead of my heart," Lesnar said. "I decided I didn't want to look back when I was 50 and wonder if I could have played in the NFL."
The workout with NFL teams was rescheduled for June 2, but that was canceled late last week because Lesnar aggravated his groin pull, according to his agent, Ed Hitchcock. Hitchcock said Lesnar probably will work out for teams individually in two or three weeks.
"I ain't afraid of anything, and I ain't afraid of anybody," Lesnar said. "I've been an underdog in athletics since I was 5. I got zero college offers for wrestling. Now people say I can't play football, that it's a joke. I say I can. I'm as good an athlete as a lot of guys in the NFL, if not better."
Lesnar bench-presses 475 pounds, squats 695 pounds and ran a 4.65 40-yard dash in April when he weighed 280, according to Richesson.
"He's the baddest guy to ever walk in this place," Richesson said. "From just a pure speed, strength, power standpoint, no one can match him."
NFL teams are skeptical, which is why Lesnar said he has agreed to take an NFL-endorsed drug test before signing with an NFL team. The NFL bans the use of steroids and tests everyone yearly and retests randomly.
"I've dealt with the steroids issue forever, but it doesn't bother me because it's kind of a compliment," Lesnar said. "I just thank God for my genetics . . . and the makers of creatine."
Creatine, a supplement that increases muscle energy and is in many foods, is not banned by the NFL

I don't give a rats ass how big or fast he is, there is nothing that can prepare you for it other than actually playing. The guy doesn't know how to do a form tackle he sure as hell won't be able to handle guys like Jamal Lewis and Ricky Williams. Hint!!! Wrestling is fake, the NFL is not. Just because someone is athletic and has big muscles does not mean they can compete with the best in the world. Wrestling is for morons!!!!

This is just another publicity stunt by WWE. You morons are falling for it. I enjoy watching wrestling as much as the next guy but be reminded, it is fake. It is for adult entertainment only. It does take some athletic ability to do some of the moves Brock does, however, that athleticism doesn't mean he is going to be a standout on a pro football team. Football isn't fake. It is real. The moves are not pre-planned. I think the prospect of Brock playing football is awesome but I don't hold any hopes that he will make the team. Fake wrestling isn't a team sport, football is. I hope for the sake of the Viking's, this isn't a publicity stunt. I am a die hard Viking fan and don't want this to become a distraction for the team. Good luck Brock and Good luck to the Vikings.

I'm not a Brock Lesnar fan, but i know this. Brock Lesnar will be a HUGE impact on the Vikings this year. Im not worried about his football experience because he's had high school football experience. Physically, well, i need not to mention his incredible physique. However, me being a football player and having been to a wrestling practice, the drills and the form is different. I believe its different to be fit in football and fit in wrestling. But then again brock is fit, All around. The upcoming year for Brock Lesnar is more of a prove yourself year since the Vikings signed him for a rookie minimum of 230,000 dollars and only for one year. Brock, FOLLOW your heart and be compassionate for the game. Be humble for football is not a I' sport but a team sport.
