USC's Williams "Bolts" to NFL

As I reported at Boifromtroy.com:
According to ESPN, which quotes Coach Pete Carroll:

"Mike made his decision that he wants to go to the NFL," USC coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday. "We're disappointed that we're losing him because he's had a terrific two years for us. ... But we're anxious to watch him in the NFL."

Were it not for the scheduling of Virginia Tech in the BCA Classic, I believe this would have had little impact on the USC team...giving them a chance to find their groove with underclassmen in the slot and build a running game against BYU and Colorado State before opening Pac Ten play.

Instead, USC will start off losing a top-flight player in a key position on the road against a big-league East Coast school. The succeeded last year, defeating Auburn with Matt Leinart replacing Heisman winner Carson Palmer. Can yet do it again? You bet.

Fight on!
