Three-Way Action

The Milwaukee Bucks, New York Knicks, and Atlanta Hawks completed a three-team trade. Milwaukee sends forward Tim Thomas to the Knicks and center Joel Przybilla and get Knicks' forward Keith Van Horn. New York sent center Michael Doleac to Atlanta for center Nazr Mohammed and a 2005 second round draft pick.

By trading Thomas the Bucks gave up an inconsistent yet explosive streak shooter. They now have a more reliable scorer and rebounder. The team doesn't save any money because Van Horn is owed $3 million more on his contract than Thomas but sacrifice some defensive ability.
