From a Plain Dealer article on Saturday, Clarett's attorney puts a little different spin on the situation:
"The lead attorney representing Maurice Clarett in a lawsuit against the NFL said Friday that his client will wait for a judge's decision in the case before deciding whether he will try to play again at Ohio State or turn pro.
"Those are decisions Maurice will make at that time," attorney Alan Milstein said. "Maurice is keeping his options open."
Clarett, a sophomore running back who was suspended from the OSU football team last season, is suing the league for entry into this year's draft. NFL rules prohibit players who have been out of high school three years or less from being eligible for the draft.
News reports on Friday quoted Clarett's Columbus attorney, who represented the player in a criminal case, saying Clarett wanted to return to OSU even if he won his lawsuit against the NFL.
Contacted by The Plain Dealer on Friday, Percy Squire, an OSU alum, said Clarett never told him that, but "that is my opinion based upon what I have perceived."
Clarett released a statement to the media on Wednesday that said in part: "I look forward to shifting all of my attention back to my studies and the team at The Ohio State University."
Otherwise, Clarett has not talked publicly about his future."

The rich owners of NFL vs common people Clarett, Williams et al will probably go the rich way! Allow Mr. Clarett to go back to OSU play as long as he wants. Pile up the yards, I'll watch every games and God bless him. When he goes pro, I'll still watch him! Old USMC & 1960 buckeye
