The Bills have called a press conference for 4:15 today. I wonder where this could be heading?
The only question is if some other coaches go with Gilbride and Williams or if the new coach gets to fire them.
Update: Mark Clayton confirms it.

Yeah, but Gilbride is still... (Below threshold)1. Posted by Paige | December 29, 2003 6:02 PM | Score: 0 (0 votes cast)
Yeah, but Gilbride is still around, his status will be determined by the new head coach. If you ask me, Gilbride was more incompetent than Williams, his play-calling was consistently atrocious. He couldn't design schemes to get Bledsoe more time, and he didn't seem to realize that running Travis Henry a lot is a good idea.

You are so right Paige. But have patience, you will be rewarded. Gilbride will not be here much longer.

Okay, but I'm gonna hold my breath and turn blue if Gilbride doesn't get fired.
By the way, what is the process for picking a successor to Van Miller? Any ideas?

Paige, it sounds as though John Murphy is a shoo-in for the announcer job. I doubt they will even open it up to competition. I'm not his biggest fan, but he certainly has paid his dues in waiting for Mr. Miller to retire.
