Colts Take Control of AFC South

The Indianapolis Colts secured a monumental victory on Sunday,

It might not always have been great football, but what happened Sunday at The Coliseum was a great football game, and a brutally competitive one.

"They're a physical team, and when they punch you, you've got to punch them back," Indianapolis linebacker Marcus Washington said after the Colts snatched four fumbles and a 29-27 victory. "You've got to punch a bully in the mouth."

It was a blow that rocked the Tennessee Titans and reordered the AFC South. The Colts (10-3) lead the Titans (9-4) by one game with three to play, but the visitors' advantage is greater than that. Head to head is the first playoff tiebreaker, and the Colts swept the season series.

They went into a deafening stadium Sunday and beat one of the toughest teams in the NFL.

"I guess you can say that this definitely is a rivalry now," said Colts coach Tony Dungy, whose team ran its road record to 6-1.
