Wings slip by Blues

The Red Wings improve to 14-9-2-0 with their last minute win against St. Louis last night. Devereaux scored the winning goal with just 2:23 seconds left in the third period. This win puts Detroit alone atop the Central division. Legace has really stepped up to the plate, getting more playtime as Hasik nurses a groin injury.

On a funny note, my 5 year old son loves hockey but is only just beginning to learn the rules, positions and players. During the period break, Kurt Maltby was being interviewed and my son asked me what he plays. I said he plays forward. My son asked "Does he play backward too?".
