Utes choke, big time

Head coach Rick Majerus and his team, the University of Utah basketball team, suffered the worst loss of his career. The final? 44-76 at the hands of the Nations best team the UConn Huskies.

Okafor was awesome. He was virtually unstoppable. Utah had no answer for him, in fact, Utah had no answer for anything. This was a total disgrace for all Ute fans and especially Ute players.

Fortunately for the Ute's, it’s a small stumble in what has been a great opening season. Unfortunately it was with the Nations number one team so everyone will see the results and come to the conclusion that Utah is not worthy to be playing teams such as UConn. But they would be mistaken. Even good teams can beat on any given night, maybe not as bad, but it does happen.

Take UConn's loss to unranked Georgia Tech. Surprise? Not really. The media, coaches and even fans put teams like UConn on such a pedestal they forget the players are human and will have off nights. Every team is susceptible to losing.

Ok enough about teams winning and losing. The bottom line is that Utah choked big time. I hope they can bring it around.
