Shockey Out, Fassel Babbling

Shockey suffered a partially-torn posterior cruciate ligament in his knee last week against Atlanta and is sidelined indefinitely. Coach Jim Fassel said today a best-case scenario for Shockey's return is three weeks, but that is based in part on the tight end's history as a fast healer.

Heh. I heard it's six to eight weeks of healing time for this injury...basically, he's gone for the season, such as THAT is.

Oh yeah and Jim Fassel had this to say:

"My point was strong - don't start saying 'Can we win now?' because I have to plug some other guys in. That is not part of the equation in my mind and I don't want them thinking that way."

Mweh. Whatever. You're still going to get fired, much to every Giant fan's relief.
