Mets Executive to be Dismissed

The Mets are already looking for a replacement for newly hired "superscout" Bill Singer after he mocked Dodger Assistant GM Kim Ng's heritage with third grade taunts.

Singer, after approaching Ms. Ng in a hotel bar, started by sarcastically questioning her qualifications and ended up speaking nonsensical words in a mocking oriental tone.

Mets insiders report there is "no way" Singer can save his job, despite his excuse that being on a low-carb diet, mixed with some alcohol, created a "chemical imbalance".

Mets GM Jim Duquette seemed unmoved by the comical excuse: "We learned of the matter recently and have addressed it with Bill Singer directly," Duquette said. "While I cannot share the particulars of that discussion with you, suffice it to say that his comments were entirely unacceptable and inconsistent with the values and standards of our organization. We have extended our apologies to Kim Ng and to the Dodgers organization."
